I've decided to enter four prints into a juried photo show. Only 200 of over 500 entries actually get selected for the show. The rest you take home. I ordered good quality fine art prints and am extremely happy how they turned out. After they have been matted and the $40 entry fee has been submitted, the cost for each print submitted to the show will have exceeded $50. According to my previous calculations on making money, it will only take me another 200 or so hours to get my money back. Of course, if I win a category or sell the print itself, I might break even right away. It amazes me how I can just rake in the dough!
How To Make Money
I try to make extra money in order to pay for my camera equipment. I do things like buying items at auctions and then selling them on Ebay. Playing poker on-line. Holding yard sales. Providing consulting services. I thought I'd share how well I've done this year.
Ebay Auctions = $2500
Online poker = $30
Yard Sales = $600
Consulting = $0.00
Total = $3130
Divided by the 2500 hours used for this over the year , I earned approximately $1.25 per hour.
On the other hand, a Walmart greeter earns $9.25 per hour.
Hmmmm......... should I apply? Forget about it! This is too much fun.
This month I'm featuring shots from some of my Ontario friends.
